So a list of states that I can now say I visited; Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island. With more to come New Jersey Maryland, Virginia. West Virginia. Connecticut.
So for the next two days we have what are called the turning point days, these are days that are usually when people start getting sick of each other on the trip. But usually they get over it. Anyway, we started today with plymouth plantation and plymouth rock. We explored a recreated native american village and then we explored the recreated plymouth colony town. Lunch however was pretty lame not much seafood even though we were right on the ocean. But oh well. That restraunt probably won’t last too long anyway from what I saw.
I am still a firefighter and I gotta say seeing Boston FD roll through the streets I was impressed.
This is a merchant vessel that we toured today in Salem of all places. we had lunch at a sweet little cafe that had pretty good food.
I NEED TO MENTION IT RAINED ALL DAY! I am soaked probably be sick. But I had a blast seeing all the monuments to the revolution. And what’s more I got to go see Breeds hill (Bunker Hill). And capped the night with dinner at Cheers
Okay so I got a lot of pictures (Ashley). we have had a full day so far a really wet full day. I am soaked to the bone. Anyway, we started at 8:30 and have been going all day so far. We began with Lexington we walked the battlefield in the old center of town. Then it was a bunch of stops on our way to Concord to see the site of the battle on the bridge near Concord. We had picnic lunch again with roast beef turkey chips had an assortment of cheeses. Then the last stop of the day was the famous Walden Pond 2 whole miles outside Concord where Henry David Thorough built his cabin. Side note that pond is a nice sized lake! Pond is a real understatement. I left a couple rocks on the rock pile that sits near his house with messages on em. Oh found out you are allowed to swim in the pond. So wish I had my speedo! …..sigh….oh well.
So I am very excited today to be in Vermont, I have never been here before but I am liking it here the people are wonderful and very nice.
Additionally it is today that we are doing some hiking to enjoy the beauty of this state.. we totally took the wrong path. Vermont for those who do not know is a french word meaning the green mountains. My Brother Nathan Mullins is from this state, so I will just say that Nate lives in an amazing state.
So we had breakfast at Denny’s and had a delicious picnic. After what had to be a wonderful 2 mile hike. And when we got to Boston (yes that Boston) I had Reginas Pizza! Oh and our bus nearly got hit by a crazy man driver.
OKAY! So here we are day 4 and its fort day. We earlier today went and saw the recreated fort William Henry and also now at the much cooler and more impressive Fort Ticonderoga.
This is the fort where colonel Ethan Allen & Henry Knox took the guns from that were dragged across the mountains to the hills above Boston, for the siege of Boston which was in the hands of the British.
So I really have posted a lot today already so I will keep this brief. Niagara Falls, was incredible, and we went on the maid of the mist boat tour and got soaking wet but I got this really great video. It kinda encapsulates the experience for me.
This is looking down at the bottom of the falls from the top.
Finally I will say that my girlfriend must be rubbing off Cruz I saw a cool pair of madras today and stopped to look at em.
Video wouldn’t work and it prevented this from posting so I took it out. Reasons why this post is after day three not before
